Formerly Master Password. Passwords aren’t stored: they are generated on-demand from your name, the site, and your master password. No syncing, backups, or internet access needed. The Windows version requires to install Java. Same principle like LessPass, but LessPass is more convenient to use because of the Browser Addons.
Our take
Like LessPass, it generates passwords on the fly from your name, the site, and a master password, so nothing is stored, synced, or breachable. The same hard trade-offs come with that model: a leaked password cannot be quietly rotated, and the lack of a vault means no notes or attachments and rougher edges on some platforms. A niche tool for people who specifically want the stateless approach; a stored-vault manager is the safer recommendation for almost everyone else.
